Gen5 4afe to 4age

Exlpain to me the differences to me, from what i heard they are the same cept for the head. the 4afe is a economical head, making it poo poo. I have a 92 st 4afe, and would like to know if theres is possibility of putting in aftermarket parts that would orinally go onto a 4age...cept i think the 4age is a DOHC while my head is a SOHC...correct me if i'm wrong and i was just looking for that kind of thread but didn't find one on the first couplea pages.

(my trannys is still messed up after putting sncromesh in)

F in the engine code meansbetter economy, reliability, basically conservative vale geometry
G in the engine code (say 3S-GTE, 2ZZ-GE) are a more performance oriented head, valves are more capable for performing above 4000 rpm. some might differ in number of cams
you might be able to change the head, considering the common block. I dunno for sure though
