If you supercharge it you pretty much have to build your own plumbing.
You would need an aftermarket computer but they are easy to to find and can handle any combination.
Note: supercharging is a lot more easier and reliable with EFI than carbies.

Have a look at the this thread
turbo celica should I or should I not?
It's about turbos but a lot of it is common.

I'm gusessing that Memphis is somewhere in the USA and not here in Australia (why does nobody put their country as part of their location?).
The 77 Celica in the USA had a 20R engine
You might want to think about getting a 22R block and putting your 20R head on it.
150HP is quite easy to get from this and is dead easy to do.

You could get a 1G-GZE (whcih is supercharged) from a Japanese importer but I'm not sure if this would be legal in the USA (very good emmissions control but proably not certified).
A friend here in australia put a 1G-GZE in his 77 coupe and is quite happy with it.

memphis is in the USA
i was wondering if the six banger would fit without too much firewall mods.
also, do you think a TBI setup would work better than the stock setup?
i dont care about emmissions. the car have antique tags
i can put what i want in the car, no testing

The 5M-GE will fit but it is a very tight fit.
Not supercharged but 2800cc give respectable performance (and doesn't have a reputation for blowing head gaskets like te 7M does.)

The supercharged 1G-GZE will fit but it is a tight fit and hard to find in the USA (except possibly in the IS200).

The 1JZ and 2JZ will fit but is a very, very tight fit and may cause trouble with too much upfront weight.
Also, I'm not sure if it has a supercharged version.
Even in n/a form it will give good power.

(note the RA23 has the same engine bay as your RA29)

If all this sounds a bit much, then consider putting in a 22R.
It's practically a drop in replacement for the old 20R.
Even better if you use a 22R block with a 20R to raise the compression ratio.

You might even try a 22R-TE turbo inlet manifold connected to a supercharger.
I'm not sure if any superchargers bolt up to this manifold easily.
Of course, you would still have to worry about converting the carby to be pressurised or consider swapping up to EFI (not as hard as it sounds and the 22R-TE manifold is already setup for injectors).
