clutch or tranny? please help.

sup ....i need help with my 5th gen celica. its a 1991 toyota celica st. so here is my situation, when i press the cluth and ingage to first gear everything is fine, but when i try to go its dosent go anywhere and a loud noise sqeels from the engine. so i try any othe gear to see if it goes in and it lets me, but as soon as i try to go it jerks for a moment then the loud noise comes from the engine and the car dosent go anywhere. it feels like the clutch is not engaging to move the car. so im thinking its the clutch or the preasure plate. im really hoping its not the tranny. thanks for any help.

i have a similar problem ! let me explain it ..

#1 im 100% sure my clutch is finished but thats not the problem !

when im in 1st gear and i wan't to put it in 2e it not going to get it ... its going to grind then go in .. my solution now is to rev mach the gears together with sound and experiance .. i can make it without any grinding ! but my question is .. is the clutch doing this or i need to change the clutch and the tranny ?

btw the 2e gear is the only one doing it ... and to down shift from 3 to 2 .. its impossible there is going to be to much grinding !

thanks !!!
