Question Celica OBD2

The check engine light has come on in my '95 Celica GT. As per usual I can find nothing obviously wrong with anything. I know that cars from 96 up had OBD2 to read engine fault codes. I also know that my car being a 95 likely does not have obd2. BUT I also had a friend with a 95 Nissan 200sx which did have OBD2. Is it possible that Toyota like Nissan put OBD2 ports in some of their older cars? And if so where is the port? I have checked under the dash and in the fuse box and relay boxes for anything that looks like a diagnosis port and have not found anything, but I don't really know what I am looking for. If anyone with a 94-99 celica knows where their OBD2 port is or if any of the pre-96 celicas even had them and where they are located I would much appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Some 1995 Toyota models had OBD2. If you have it, there will be a standard OBD2 plug in the car. In 1995 Toyota also an interface type data system. This system had a differant plug located in the engine compartment, passenger side shock tower area. One could get limited data from this by means of a coded signal.

Other 1995 makes of cars might have OBD2, it was not required until 1996.

95 was still OBDI for the Celica.
There is a diagnostics port right behind the dr side strut tower.
It is a gray "box" that says diagnostics on it.
Flip the top up, and jump TE1 and E1 with a paper clip, or wire or such.
Turn the key to on, and read the # of flashes.
Then let us know the # [which will be the code].
