Exclamation All Older Cars Need this:

Anyone seen a Strut bar on an 1992 ST before???? I made it big at the junk yard the other day. Picked up the Strut bar and a new carbon fiber grill for the one that was broken on the front of my car. Strut bars are very important to older cars because as cars pack on the miles of turns and bumps. The unibody(Sheet metal folded and spot welded together to make up the majority of the body and frame.) becomes flimsy and becomes more and more flexible. A strut bar really does help keep this to a minimium. I found that after installing the strut bar I am able to take turns 10-20 mph faster than I had before. Car seems a lot more stable and safer. I am happy with my investment of $5.00. But after knowing how much of a difference it made I'd would be willing to pay upwards of $150.00 for these kind of results.

I have that bar on my GT-S. Someone probably swapped it over before that car hit the junkers.

^He took it off a GT/GTS and put it in his ST.

Sturt bar is the most cost effective mod.

Oops, sorry, I thought you meant you found it on an ST. I get it now.

I think all cars should come equipped with something like that from the factory. Unfortunately 95% of new car buyers don't give a flying rat's arse about handling and wouldn't know the difference anyway.

(BTW I happen to think my portly, automatic GT-S is the best handling stock FWD car I've ever owned. The big sways and big strut brace really help.)

My 1993 GT liftback has that exact front strut bar too. I'd bet it's standard at least on the LB's, maybe not the ST.

Most Gt celicas have em.... You can find them at the scrappers or junk yard.
Ebay might work too.
