Canada Overheating 94 - fan not working

hi, Im sure this is probably a relatively easy one, but my rad fan is not working. Ive found 3 relays, actually, I think found more., there's one box sitting on top of the rad, then the one on the passenger side which has "Fan 2" and "Fan 3" in it. (where is three? I see two)
then in the main fuse panel on the drivers side, there is yet another which says fan.
is there a test? is it likely a relay issue?

help please.

thank you in advance

You should put what Celica you have in your sig or something.
That way we know which when you need help...

Look on the bottom of the rad. There should be a electrical connector.
It is for the fan switch.
Unplug. If the fan works, that switch is bad.

is this the "temperature switch?"

my problem is, Im in another city from my car right now, and working through this with my father. he said the fans are running manually, and relays are fine. also said it could be the temperature switch but he doesn't know where that is and cant be bothered looking.
so I need this info for when I go tomorrow.
thanks again.

You STILL didn't put what kind of Celica.....................

Dunno.
What do you mean by temp switch?

It probably is.
Tell him to look where I told you.
If you had what type Celica, I could be more specific.........................

Ahh.
There we go.

I can't find a pic of it in the car, but if you locate where your lower rad hose connects to the rad, and look RIGHT NEXT TO IT, you will see a electrical connector.
That is the fan switch.
Unplug it and if the fan runs, it is most likely that switch...

one more question...

what would the disadvantage, besides wear and tear on the fan motors, of just pulling the connector and letting the fans run for a few weeks until I have time and money to replace this switch?

There really isn't any disadvantage except for it will put a strain on your electrical equipment. Alternator + battery.
