3rd Gen Confusion

i need to know, im looking up for body kits for my 1983 celica gt 2dr liftback, and i know the generation its included in is froom 1982-1985. im wondering if theres any differences in the 83 from the 84-85 because the bodykits online are said to be made for 84-85, not 82-85

The bodykits were probably built around an RA65.
The RA65 was made in 84-85.
But it was basically the same as the RA64 (82-85).
There are just minor trim changes (badges, grills, lights, etc).
The sheet metal is the same.
Underneath, the big change was from a solid axle to IRS (hence the number change).

The major difference between the RA64 (GT, 82-85) and the RA65 (GTS, 84-85) are the GTS/RA65 has much bigger fender flares and independent rear suspension. however, the 1984 models across the board received pop-up headlights, different corner lamps, and a slightly different grille (cosmetically). There might also be a piece of the grille attached to the hood of the 82-83 GT models (correct me if I am wrong here), but no piece attaches to the hood of the 84-85 GT models. also the GTS runs 225 width tires, GT run 185 width tires.
