Doesnt move over 5000RMP

i had some major leakages in my celica st185 3sgte, i changed the almost all the gaskets in the engine cuz of the leakage along with the head gasket for heat up reasons.
now my car doesnt heat up until i turn on the AC for maybe 1 hour and it will heat up but as i turn off the AC it will come bak to normal and that is not quite bothering me.
the only problems left in the car is white smoke. it is smoking white, so i guess its the piston seals(rings). that will be taken care of in a month or two. and the second problem is with the starter it takes time to start.

but a weird problem, its a turbined engine and it doesnt go over 5000RPM. any suggestions ? can anyone help me!!! please!!! what should i do. it use to go upto 7000 last i remember. but now at 5000 it just stops and car cant get more power!
the problem came after i changed my head gasket!

It sounds like a couple of things didn't get reconnected.
Who did the work?

Also, you shouldn't have white smoke after getting a head gasket done.
It sounds like it wasn't done correctly.
Was the head checked to make sure it is totally flat?

the ports i know were not flattened . and i think smoke is because of rings of pistons!
it was done by a local mechenic!

ok, i checked it out and found out that the manifold has a leak. so i think after i repair the menifold leaks, it should go over 5000rpm, so before i give my car's engine for complete remake, i will try this last thing. if it works, fine, or else i have to give the whole thing for repair and will cost me almost the price of buying an used engine!

any suggestions anyone? what do you think? am i doing the rite thing?!
