Gen5 a few questions

ok so I have some questions about my 93 Celica GT
1. has anyone changed the gauge faces in their 5th gen Celica? I'm considering it, but I'd like to know if this is easy or difficult
2. the brakes also need replacing, but I'm not sure on drilled only or drilled and slotted. a few sellers have said that slotted rotors tear up the brake pads, so unless the car will spend a lot of time on the track (which mine won't) there's no point. what do you think?

It will a slight bit.
But it will also depend on the quality of the rotors [cheap metal won't wear the pads as fast] and the pads....

But do you really need slotted?

Change gauge, nop, but I put blue LEDs in it.

Use drilled or plain rotors, prefer plain and put good pads on them.

no probably don't need slotted, but definitely drilled.

How hard was putting the blue LED's in?

As long as you can solder, it's not hard. Remove the dash, remove the bulb holder, remove the bulb, put in the LEDs, put them back, if LED don't turn on rotate 180. Trick is you'll need to bend and aim the LEDs so you don't have bright spots.
