Exclamation Attempting A/C Compressor Rebuild

Hi.
I'm trying to find out how to rebuild the original A/C Compressor on my 92 GT 5SFE
It's getting warm here in Tijuana, Mexico.

I saw the O-Ring replacement Kit at Autozone for US $5.00
I believe I'm missing the shaft bearing, but Autozone doesn't display it.

Anyway, is there an online reference where I can go for rebuild info?

I possess a fair amount of skill in regards to Power Steering Pump rebuilds, water pumps, but never an A/C Pump.
Appreciate the help!!!!!

I've seen whole compressors on Ebay going for a reasonable price.

A bearing supply house might be able to match the bearing if you brought it in.

Thanks for the replires
There's plenty of places here that'll do the job.
But I preferr to do it myself knowing the job was done right.
I just need a quick reference to start and not make a mistake.

One question though.
When I am ready to fill the system, do i need to vaccuum out the air inside or should Icharge the system with Freon then bleed out the air?
I've heard several versions on this and would like to know if for my compressor I could just bleed the air.
thanks!!!

I thought the idea of vacuuming the system was to remove the moisture in the air. I am not sure just filling the system and bleeding it will do this. During A/C operation any moisture will freeze and can cause problems. You can try purging the system with nitrogen gas, this will pick up the moisture.
