1st Gen JDM 3SGE

Ok I have a '90 Camry with a US 1st Gen 3SGE and 5 speed from GT-S already swapped. One of the main bearings is spun on it, so its knocking like a mother. I want to know if I can drop a JDM 1st gen 3SGE in it just like that. What would have to be done to get the JDM motor in there and running. I was thinking they are the same mechanically, but the JDM engine doesnt have an egr system. So would I have to swap over the ECU also? Are there sensors on the JDM 3SGE that aren't on the US one? Also, a better idea would be a 2nd Gen 3SGE. Can the 2nd gen 3SGE be used with the 1st gen 3SGE harness and ECU? Originally I was gonna rebuild the motor, but quotes have me thinking its easier, cheaper and better just to drop in a JDM 3SGE.

I'll rebuilt it knowing I got brand new seals and bearings. Dropping another one in you're hoping it'll last.
Like you said the engine are mechanically the same. So just use the block. Swap all your old electrical, EGR to the new engine.
