2005 GT Cruise Control stopped working

Hello and good Day.. Trying to help my daughter with her new/used 2005.. We just got it day before yesterday.. Cruise worked fine all the way home, 3 hour drive.. next day,, it worked for a few minutes then quit, worked again and then quit again and has yet to work again.

Anyone have experience with this issue? Is there a typical "celica" thing that goes wrong with these most the time? I searched the forum but found no links to fuse discussion, switch or controller etc..

I appreciate any help and time very much. Try to keep this from going to the shop if I can.. She loves her cruise control.. Guess she is like her Papa.. lol.. thanks..

When cruise goes out, does it just stop working or does the cruise light on the dash also turn off?

Cruise worked and then went to turn it off at the switch and the light stayed on so went ahead and kept using the cruise intermittently with light remaining on all time.. Then next day after starting (light was off) went to use cruise control the light would not come and the cruise control has not worked since.

sounding like the actual switch at the steering wheel?????

thanks

I would imagine it's the switch or the relay. Relay sounds more likely, it probably got stuck.

I believe it's in the fuse box in the engine.

Check this first though
