What engines will swap into a 86-89 Celica GTS?

What other more powerful Toyota engines will swap into a gen 4 GTS?

Please don't give me one of those "ANY ENGINE WILL FIT FOR THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF MONEY" answers.

I mean engines that are more or less a direct drop.

I've heard the 5sfe is able to, but I believe that 5sfe has less HP but more torque. Do you think the 5sfe with it's higher trq would outperform the stock 3sge?

I'm not too interested in the 3sgte, unless it's easy to swap a 3sgte into a GTS and keep it FWD?

Thanks in advance

I suggest you read the posts first~!

http://www.toyotanation.com/showthre...threadid=14687

I can briefly tell you, 3SGTE is the most powerful and easier to drop in. If you don't want turbo, then 3SGE with VVTi, but I am still finding out if I can import that engine to here~ You find it too by yourself~!

3SGTE 200hp+ depends on different generation
3SGE with VVTi, around 170hp from the information that toysport give me
