90' Celica Turbo Swap

I just purchased a 1990 Celica GT and am wondering if the factory turbo installed on the other Celicas will just bolt right in.

With the intercooler built into the hood (or so im told) Will the hold bolt right in-place of the old one?

I know what parts i'll need to grab just want to know if it is a direct replacement of what is already there.

it'll bolt right in but the intercooler wont fit cause the intake manifold is different, so you'll have to find a different way to put install the intercooler.

Will the hood fit? (The one with the scoop) so the intercooler goes underneath the hood and will hit the manifold.

So bassicly i can jus tput the intercooler on the front and everything will work fine?

The Top mount Intercooler is bolt on the the valve cover. You need a hole in the hood to fit. Unless you get the 3S-GTE with water to air intercooler then you can use stock hood with it. You can't use the top mount in the front. You'll need aftermarket front mount IC.

But what if i get the Hood with the scoop, will the intercooler be in the same place on my GT as to fit into the hole in the hood?

I think right now you should search around for more information regarding what motor you will be using. You can use any 3sgte motor or make a turbo 5sfe. All of these choices have different budgets and parts needed.

That intercooler ONLY works with 3S-GTE engine. You can't use it on a 5S-FE.

The air to air tmic will fit under the stock hood without a problem....only thing is his car will suffer heat soak...

Top mount air to air IC under a close hood ..... what's the point? Hot air-hot air interwarmer?
It works for like 5 min?
