All the A-series will "fit". You'll need ECU with any GE engine you swap in. A 7A-FE could swap in without changing ECU. A 4A-GZE - supercharged will give you most HP.

4A-GZE for most HP. 7A-FE/4A-FE to keep the car rolling. If you got $40G, Formula Atlantic 4A-GE 240HP@11000RPM.

You'll need to cut and weld engine mounts, need 5S-FE tranny, ecu, wiring harness, half shafts etc. If you gonna do so much work, get a 3S-GTE.

too much mods trust me. I did it. You need 3sgte motor, trans, radiatior, (or customize a radiator hose) driver and passenger gts axles, gts tranny, driver and passenger front brake assembly from gts- their 5 lug(some st's are 5 lug and drum in the back-those guys are lucky!, wire harness- cut and shop to make it long enough, ecu, purchase/ remove and relocate passenger side motor mount and fuel pump. Not to mention to cut and make stock exhaust work or just get a custom 3 inch one made. If you plan on keeping the stock top mount, you need to get a scoop made, buy cf hood or go front mount.

Price? Were easing talking 5 thousand+. I did my own labor but it was hard work. Now if you ask me was it worth it? F*ck yeah it was, seeing the luck on peoples faces, waving at them when their getting smoked, putting the e-lights at those hard ass muscle heads is just priceless. Im still modifying my car. Its a hobbie and not many st's have done this swap. If your interested or have qst. go ahead and post a thread.
