Im a noob!

hello i just joined and wanted to say hi. i don't have my celica yet but, as soon as i sell my other car i will go get it. i plan to do alot to the celica. my last car was a 96 civic and before that was a 91 civic crx. i also have owned a 92 civic but, didn't get much done to it. the crx i had was lowered, rims exhaust header intake and a few mods on the inside nothing much but the car im trying to sell is a differnt story. i spent the last year building it. if you don't know much about hondas then im sure this will sound a little wierd to ya but, it sounds wierd when you guys spout out 4afe and crap that i have not picked up on. but anyway i swaped the origanal D16Y8 motor for the jdm version which is a D16A. then i installed a greedy turbo kit, forged pistons and rods, apex exhaust,Smc alcohol injection, all this stuff is msd produsts.....boost timing master, pro cap distributor, ss blaster coil, wires, 6Al ignition. a apex v tec controller gauges, tach, cross drilled slotted rotors. it runs 15 pounds of boost and is a hella fast car but, im ready to move from honda. i want to learn more about other cars so i will be asking alot of questions about stuff. when i sell the civic and get the gts i will post pics but it won't be long till the damn thing changes into the sik creation i have in my head. anyway thanks for reading my babble and looking forward to posting new pics of new car.

You'll have a hard time finding parts to mod the Celica. Toyota cars are not mod friendly. Which GTS you're getting?

The GTS is not turbo friendly. Many people tried and have engine problem afterward. I believe you'll be disappointed with the car if you plan on modding it heavily. Do more research on what availiable before you buy the car.

I don't plan on turbo mainly cause im tired of all the crap that must to be done daily. ya know checking clamps and exhaust leaks.....etc. im tierd of turbo so much. i just want a nice ride and i always liked the celica. i would just settle for the gt model but i do want the extra hp so the gts will have to do. i just plan on a apexi exhaust, AEM CAI, polished header and some polished and carbon fiber engine parts. ipt maked some really good carbon fiber parts for the car. for the out side i plan on a kaminari body kit, carbon fiber hood with raised hood scoop, fromula one mirrors and a trd carbon fiber spoiler. have not thought about suspension yet. i just know i want a smooth ride this time. with the civic it is hell of a crap ride supension wise. i have never really had a car with a body kit on it so that is something new to me. i know body work though so i should be cool. also i want huge wheels. 18s and up. can't find the carbon hood with raised hood scoop though. you are right about not being mod freindly.

well i have been a member of the honda civic forum for about a year 1/2. whats up with telling me to go to a honda forum. what is it you get out ran by a honda? just because i don't own my celica yet does not mean i will not get one. i just cant afford two car payments. i already pay a house payment and all the bills i don't have the $$$ to just go out and buy a new car before i sell the other. i just know what i want and that is a celica gts. a white one with 70,xxx or lower miles. thats all. but i guess i will go hit up the honda forum. noob out
