Hey
A friend is having a problem with his 92 gt. The Thing wont rev past 5000 We already know it needs a new clutch but we dont think thats the problem. I almost seems like its hitting a rev limiter or somthing. Cloged fuel filter?
Just wondering if you guys had any ideas

wont rev past 5K at idle or while driving? check you basic essentials, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, etc. after that, check the timing and check for any vaccume leaks. inspect the converter condition, making sure you are getting good exhaust flow from the muffler. start there.

Check the intake too if you have a cold air intake. Look for water settled in the bottom. To get water out of the cylinders, pull one of the plugs out, and crank the car (with the cap unplugged) for short intervals, dont crank excessivly.
