Gen5 exhaust raddle

when ever im in reverse or im shifting gear (which i have to to really soft or something raddles) i hear something raddle. i took it to a shop and they told me it was my exhaust which i think it is because it doesnt drive any diff. everything feels the exact same. i took it to the muffler shop that i got my exhaust done and they only checked the part that they did(cat back) when it sounds more like its comeing more by the manifold, has ne one had this problem or know were exactaly its comeing from?

I've had radles coming from my car before. First, check your wheel well and make sure the bold that holds the wheel down is tight, and is holding the wheel down! and make sure the jack and crap is secure. Take it out and drive it, if the noise stops, thats your problem, if not, keep looking. Lic plate seems to do it too. make sure its secure. Just look! It could be loose bolts that connect to the converter, but I doubt it, but its cant hurt to check all the exhaust bolts. I think your car is resonating very loud and the reverbs are vibrating the shit out of somthing. Its not serious, but its annoying!

good luck.

Would be one of the first things I 'd check - have had loose heat shields on a few cars, 'tis most annoying !!! Dunno if I'd recommend taking them off, as the manufacturer put them there for a reason. Tightening them up would be prudent

There is a posibility. My exhaust manifold cover has a snapped bolt on it. and it vibrates also. What I think your rattle is....... it could very well be something along the exhaust piping. could be the following:
Heat shields.....
Loose exhaust clamp.......
Exhaust banging agianst the side of something.

best way to check is to put car in first gear and clutch down put emergency brake on..... then look under your car while your clutch is down and in first gear while the engine is runing and run a good 2000 rpms and pop the clutch to where it starts to grap then quickly release it. that will cause the exhaust to shake violently.
Good luck!
