not stable on idle

I have my repairs done on the engine of my st185(3sgte)(head gaskit changed, head ported and polished, injectors cleaned, piston rings changed, piston bearings changed, crank bearings changed, camshaft bearings changed, exhuast menifold repaird etc.), the car runs smooth. the gears shift nicely. no sound of anykind is heard. the only problem is on idle my car is not stable. it revs for itself (between .8k to 2k in rpm meter while on idle). the spark plugs are new. some electricians told me it could be the idle sensor. anyone can help me with this problem?

Not up on engine swaps, but. Normally engine idle control is added by the air idle control valve. If the engine speed is hunting and this was a stock engine, would say to start here plus look at the MAP sensor. How did you handle the change in idle air control valve, EGR, MAP and throttle position sensor hookups? The hookups between engines appear to be different. The link below has some info on this swap.

Also check this thread that has started on this swap plus past posts.
