Hey all

for reading my first post. Im the proud new owner of an 86 gts celica . The car was used in the 86' Toyota celeb race in long beach. Its fully set up for track with a cage, halon system,header, and some other custom goodies. its going to be my daily driver and ill hopefully enter some autocross events with it.Here is a link to some pics of it.

There is one cool thing that im trying to find out ...the winning car in 86 was #20 driven by Dan Gurney . In some odd Coincedence or not my key has a # 20 stamped into it . Check out this pic http://www.glowfoto.com/viewimage.ph...=8298&srv=img4
seems like it could be ? i wonder how i would possibly find out what vin#'s were used

I am not sure if a Carfax report will show it or not but the best way would be to go to a toyota dealer and ask the parts guy to run the vin if toyota was involved in the race then i would think something would come up.

hey guys , picked up the celica today . here are the pics ...the last 5 or so are from today when i got it home ...drove like a champ ! headers got hott!!!! gonna have to wrap them . car has front strut bar with camber plates / full coilover suspension / cage as you can see /....been sitting for 4 years and the fuel pump was bad ..i changed it out yesterday in the guys driveway and hot wired it because the power side of the factory wiring has a stg... fired right up !!!!

i drove it like 16 miles home brakes still work pretty good a bit squeaky ...clutch good , motor good and shit look at those miles !!!

all in all for 900 it was a bitchin deal and im happy to have such a cool daily driver . Check the pics and let me know what you think ...id love to meet some of you guys at a meet or somethin
