Gen5 Idle issues!

Okay Ive been experiancing some idle problems that have been getting worse in the past month. While the car is at idle the rpms would drop to 400 and jump to 1k and then even out at 800 over and over. Last week I threw on a new egr and modulator since it was in stock and I advanced my dist. to 15 degrees. It got rid of the jumping but I know it didnt fix it cause it still does it but at higher idle rpms. Im thinking next step is iac. Ive already taken the body off and cleaned it throughly. Side note Ive got a 91 throttle body with a reworked 00 solara head. I know that opens the flood gates for possibilites but any ideas?

Is it that much of a big deal? idle is suppose to be at 800 and your car eventually gets there. If your car cuts out then it's a big deal. maybe you could adjust the idle set screw?

Well yeah it is kinda a big deal since it just jumps around all the time at lights. Im going to put in an order for a new IAC tomorrow but I think Im going to throw a new cap, rotor, wires, and plugs at it as well. Im thinking its bound to get fixed within all of these new items.

Let me know how that turns out for ya... because if thats the case I may follow in your footsteps. But on the other hand let me know if it doesn't work because I can get a whole crap load of things for ya to try, if you are interested.
