My brother just gave his girlfriend his '91 Celica GT. My brother said on a long highway trip at night the back lighting to the instrument panel went dark? Is this a fuse or bulb issue? If a bulb issue how hard is it to replace?

That was my point as well. Do the dimmer switches ever just fail all of a sudden? Is there a fuse in a'91 GT just for the instrument panel lights?

OK, he played with the dimmer and no change. He said it is ONLY the instrament panel that is not lit. all the idiot lights, and teh climate control and radio back lights still work?
he looked through the Chilton's Manual does not list a fuse for the gauge clucter back lights which one is it??
We need help on this one guys!
