Swap Engines

Hi All,

I have read most threads about swapping a 1.6 to a 1.5 but I can't find the answers I want. Every one seem to redirect to swapping to a 1.7 or 1.8. That is not an option right now, I have a 1.5 that is given to me and since it's for my wife's car that she uses only to comute to work I don't mind if it has any HP.

My question is, will I have to do anything with the computer in the car if I swap in a 1.5 Engine in my celica? I purchase many parts for a 1.6 to swap with another 1.6, if I could find one, would those parts fit the 1.5? Like I said, I will swap in the 1.5, so I need to stick with this questions. Any answers pertaining to this swap would help.

TIA,
Gilbert

All the 1.6 stuff works on the 1.5, thats why they push it as a replacement engine. Keep the years close too.

Just make sure it's a manual to manual swap, or auto to auto. Otherwise you have to swap flywheels.
