headlight leak?

i have a 92 celica GT tht i just bought last week... well, everything works great in the car... however, there seems to be a prob with the headlights... my questions are:

1. the aiming is off... where are the screws to adjust it?

2. the driver side headlight prob has a leak/crack somewhere.... when i turn it on at night, i get the normal light beam on the road, but i also get a light "leak" that aims up (really up... usually it'll hit any traffic sign easily).... i checked the headlight casing, and it looks good and sealed... anyone know what this is? thanx

btw, do u guys have DIYs anywhere on the site? esp on maintainence issues? also, what's a good maintainence reference book to buy? haynes?

The best way to approach this is go to auto parts store and buy two new headlights. They come seald so you'll be rollin' with new shiners. When you take the plastic cover off the front of the lift lights you'll then see the adjustment screws. And before you know it You'll be happy and satisfied that you aren't blinding people at night. Good times.

The reason I say go buy new is because lights are like $10 each. Good investement.

It's 1157 for the fog light (I just replaced them yesterday =D ) ...not sure about the low-hi though coz I lost my paper but I think it's H4. ... like what thousand _five said, you had better upgrade your headlight, they are sold for around $30s on ebay.....BUT If you ever consider to buy OEM headlight though, I can sell you mine for $20 shipped (for both).... It's currently sitting on my storage and I have no particular use of it... oh, they are from my 90 celica Gt-s

Not sure about what caused the 'leak' but I would guess it should be something from inside the headlight ... but no, I'm not suggesting you to buy my headlight, I suggest you to purchase aftermarket headlight coz they are relatively cheap
In case you want to stay with your stock headlight, however, then I can give you mine.....they are in good condition.....basically that $20 is just for shipping, box-ing and gas cost (or I can use another cheaper method but can't guarantee if it would arrive in good condition)

and I also got the car for a week, so I'm noob myself lol ... I just 'upgrade' my headlight into aftermarket one...

No problem. I was just surfing some forums, so I don't particulary do anything useful

I got my 'aftermarket' on ebay. Here is the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

I do realize that most ebay bulb would surely burn out after few months but for $31 total, I think it totally worth it. I can always replace it with PIAA/ Sylvania anyway when it burns out. Lightning is much better than my 0EM for sure

PS: Let me know if you want me to take pics of it... I can go out, run and take some pics of it (I can't sleep anyway ^^)
