seafoam

i normally run seafoam (carb cleaner) thru any car i have.... in the Hondas, i usually put the Seafoam stuff thru the PCV hose, which is on the top of the head... i was looking at the celica's motor, and i could only find one hose tht's going into the Intake manifold... if u're standing in front of the car looking at the motor, it would be on the upper right part of the head.. is tht it?

btw, the part i just mentioned was covered in dried up oil... any idea wat's wrong with it?

btw, i have a 92 GT auto tranny

What do you gain from spraying carb cleaner through pcv or pvc hoses? is it clogged?

pretty much blows away all the carbon build up in the engine... but not recommended for cars with really high mileage... less than 150K imo... the old engines might need some of tht carbon build up to fill in cracks and small holes due to wear and tear

so, was the thing i describe on the head the pcv valve?

I have seafoamed a '91 Celica with 150k with GREAT results! I use the deep creep to chean the Throdle plate and body. Then I suck liquid Seafoam into the upper INTAKE with a vanc line going to the top of the intake manifold. You should just replace the PCV they are to cheap to clean!
