85 Celica GT question

i recently moved to wa i left my 85 celica behind cause it has a blown head gasket and its leaking oil on the timing chain cover. so i parked it at a friends house right now the car has a sealer i been driving it like that for 2 yrs and if i drove the car for a week i gotta add a qt of oil on fridays. my question is can i put more sealer ofr the blown head gasket and drive it from ca to wa it's a 1k mile drive. i figure since i drove on the blown head gasket seal for 2 yrs i cant see why it wont make it here to wa.

Is it a blown head gasket or just a bad rocker cover gasket?
The description sounds more like the rocker cover gasket (sits above the spark plugs, seals the joint between the head and the top cover) rather than the head gasket (sits below the spark plugs, seals the joint between the head and the block).
If it's truly the head gasket, then I would ask a friend with a toe rope to toe it 1km.
If it's just the rocker cover gasket then 1km won't hurt it too much if the oil is topped up first.

well i saw steam comming from between the head and the block so i added sealer and i drove it 2 yrs from there and never had a problem. even before the seal it never over heated too. the oil leaks somewhere on the timing cover im guessing that needs a new timing cover gasket.

Well, if it lasted for 2 years, then 1km shoudldn't hurt it any more.
I guess it was just a small piece of the gasket between a water jacket passage and the outside of the head that blew.
Personally, I'd feel safer having it towed by a friend with a tow rope.

ya the water never got in the oil and towing a car with a rode is against the law here. for 1,000 miles. also not good to tow a car in neatural on a automatic. im just gonna do the sealer.

thought about a tow bar? those I believe are legal to use on the road. just need someone with a hitch and something powerful enough to haul it. When i got my 85 celica, it had a blown head gasket as well. I rented a car dollie to tow mine but i only towed mine maybe 50 miles lol. I would say if youve driven it that long whats another couple of miles hehe.
