the 1jz engines are for RWD platform cars, like the supra or the cressida and also the older rear drive celica's

yeah i new that its just that i figured if a 3sgte is for an AWD and a GT 4 and we can make it fwd what would stop us from makin a rwd to fwd! there are no alternatives to fitting it inside ?

well you see the way the engine is setup. its just too different. the 1jz has two more cylinders making it longer. plus where are you going to get the transmission for the 1jz to make it fwd. the 3sgte has plenty of tranny's to chose from when it come to making it fwd. but taking an engine that is longer and trying to fit a fwd tranny is not something that i see too often, at least not in Toyota's.

There is almost a 0 possibility of swapping in a 1jz and converting it to fwd. It is though, very possible to convert the Celica to a rwd and swapping in the 1jz. Its just really not worth it at all.

A different option you can try is a 1uzfe. It'll require a lot of work, patience and money, but it can happen. I've heard theres a few people attempting it.

Possible, Google V8 Celica. There is one done in Aus with V8 and RWD.
Anything is possible with enough money.
