89_3SFE Official TN Member Join Date: May 2004 Location: Provo, UT Posts: 300 Gameroom cash: $12100 Thanks: 1 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts iTrader Score: 0 reviews	Steering Gear - Passenger Side I've got an 89 3SFE celica and I just noticed that it's making a weird creaking noise when I turn left and hit any sort of bump. I looked underneath the engine and saw that on the passenger side of the steering gear, the flexible plastic dust cover (looks like a boot cover on my front axles) has been split in two and is no longer protecting that side of the steering gear. Can that piece ever break off of the whole steering gear, or am I still safe? Should I get that side replaced, and if so, how much would it cost me?
