3sge to 3sgte conversion..

Hello..

I recently got a 3sge first gen to swap in my ae92 corolla. I already got the mounts modified but i want to make this first gen 3sge turbo. I want it for dayly use and weekends track.. my power goal is 230-300hp .. keeping power steering and ac.

I am getting this parts.:

new crank
eagle rods
8:5 pistons
"ebay" turbo header/downpipe
arp head studs
lightweight flywheel/ act clutch
oil cooler and filter relocation
tvis eliminated (just in case it gets pushed in to the head)


Now i need to know about this parts..

The factory 3sge first gen tb is 2.18" diameter.. and they told me that is a good set up to use a bigger one but no more than 2.5... the told me that the mustangs 5.0 uses a 2.36" and it would be a better choice. (anyways iam not going to use the stock turbo ecu). Is that a good idea???

Do the stock 3sge cams.. are capable of 250+ hp?... which would be a better set up.. but not to agressive? i dont want to sacrifice to much low end..

----------TURBOCHARGER------------

Which turbo is good for that set up? how can i get the trim sizes etc etc. i want good high rpm but not to much lag.. but something better than the stock. what are my choices?

-----TRANSMISSION------

Which FWD manual trannny will work? ... i heard something about an 5sfe tranny.. do they handle 230-250 hp? .. any suggestions..

I dont want to get a jdm 3sgte engine .... i want to rebuild this one and make it a beast ..

Please... give me some suggestions..
