This may or may not be a stupid question.

I own a 2000 Celica GT, 5 speed manual. My engine is fucked, and i'm wondering if there are any other engines that could replace the 1zz-fe in this car.

My buddy told me he did an inline-6 into a 2003 celica from a Toyota Sora, I believe.

Any suggestions welcome, if so.

Your buddy is either lying, dreaming or is a mechanical genius.
A north-south inline 6 won't fit inan east-west engine 4 cylinder bay without serious surgery, heaps of mechanical talent and lots of money.

Find a good used engine. The Corolla and MR2 also appeared to use the same engine.

The 2zz-ge, mated to the 6spd tranny will fit nicely in there!
