Gen5 4age into 4afe celica

I own a 92 celica st with the 4afe engine. I have the opportunity to buy a complete 89 corolla gts. The corolla is wrecked but all the engine and trans components are undamaged. I was wondering how difficult it would be to swap all the major mechanical bits from the corolla into the celica. Does it all just bolt up? would the wiring be plug and play? And any other bits of important information would be greatly appreciated.

i don't understand why it posted 4 different times. but could u guys please let me know. Cuase I would like to jump on this to buy the Corolla. It just needs a new Radiator/cap/rotor. I guess my main question is, is it a bolt up process including wiring is just plug and pay? Just simple questions like that. And if anything is the Transmision doable because my syncros are F*ed in my Celica. Let me know. I appreciate the help.

The motor mounts are the same so the motor will just bolt right in. If you get the ecu and wiring harness you could just plug in right in. I am not sure about axles and stuff like that though

How much is he asking for it because you wont see a huge performance increase just a little different feel to the car because hp is around the same.

well, he is only asking like 150 for the tranny/motor. I thought that the GTS came with near 140, like my integra I own. But anyway, if the motor is in any better condition than the one i am using, ill take it. I just blew my b18 up in my teg...kinda sucks...so im stuck with the celica...yep.

The version of 4age in the corolla was a "red" top it is a higher compression version but has smaller ports on the head.

Check out club4ag for some technical info
