Drive Belt

Can anyone tell me how to loosen the drive belt tension on my 2002 1.8 Celica

One place to look would be the alternator. Loosen the alternator bracket pivot bolt closest to the engine block. Then there should be an adjusting nut on the opposite side of the alternator. This nut should face the radiator at an upward angle. You will need to loosen another bolt below the adjusting nut before turning the adjusting bolt.

Some cars have an idler pulley with an adjustment nut on top.

The PS belt is loosened at the PS bracket.

Why? what are you trying to accomplish.
Make sure it isn't too tight- you'll wear out the bearings.
