Thinking about getting a 93 gt-s

Hey everyone, I'm new to the Toyota scene and was looking around for a new car to buy and I came across a 93 Celica GT-S for sale. Just curious what I can expect out of it? How many miles, power? What engine it came stock with, etc.? Any and all info/comments would be appreciated. Thanks,
-Goo

1993 was the last year of that body style it came with a 2.2 L 5SFE motor that has approx. 135hp and same torque. The car came in different variations with the GTS being the highest and most expensive.

I own a 1994 GTS and I like it but right now I am trying to move on to something faster.

If you have anymore questions post it up

What kind of potential does the 2.2 L 5SFE motor have?

The 5SFE has a more torque side of it which allows it to launch out of the whole pretty good. There has been some people who have put on turbos, nitrous some have also swapped in a 3SGTE which the motor mounts bolt right in. It all depends on what you want to use it for.

The 3SGTE is out of turbo celicas, turbo mr2s

I know quite a few people on www.6gc.net has done some interesting things with the 5SFE you could try browsing around there for a little bit.
