Passanger power window

Last week i was rolling down the passanger window when i relized that it will only roll down with the drivers switch, so i have to lean over and use the passanger switch to roll it up. This morning for some reason it just stop working, the lights out on the passangers switch and drivers. Wont budge, any ideas would be great. Thanks!

Some times the PW wires going between the driver’s door and frame fray break from the door opening and closing. Power appears to come from the Gauge and Power fuses, to the driver console and then to both windows. The passengers side has two differant sources of power from the console to allow independent operation.

See if power is getting to the drivers side. The power goes from the drivers side to the passengers side. No power at the drivers side, most likely means no power at the passengers side.

Ok, i got the window working now thanks to Toyomoho! But the only thing it wont let me do is roll the passanger window up with the drivers switch, the passanger switch rolls it up. Im thinking drivers switch for the passanger window is toast?

If the passengers side window can be moved up and down with its own switch, might be the drivers console switch. Power from the drivers console passengers switch goes through a two-way wire circuit to (and through) the passenger switch and to the window motor. By reversing polarity in these wires the motor will run CW or CCW and thus the window up or down.

A constantly hot power wire also goes to the passengers switch. The passengers switch controls how this power is applied to the motor wires. Again motor polarity connection controls the up and down action. The power return wire or ground (if you want to call it that) from the motor is one or the other of the two wires running from the driver console. Which one depends on the direction the button is pushed.

To see if the console switch is bad, you will need to determine if both of the wires from the drivers console are connecting with the passengers switch and motor. The power goes through the switch (it does not need to be moved). The wire colors from the drivers console passenger switch are usually Green/White and Red/Blue. The hot wire may be White/Blue, Blue, White/Green or something else.
