Gen1 Speak up if you got 'em

I just bought myself a 1973 celica for a low price and got a very, very good deal. It does need some work though (basically the body and engine are together). I have all of the parts minus a carb, and it is getting put together this week, and painted before summer. Since I am very mechanically inexperienced, the more people I can find around here with 1st gen celicas, the better. So if you got one, post up and tell me what you've got. This is only so I know who to ask if I have any questions.

I've had 3 celicas myself, a 73 RA21, a 76 RA29GT, and currently I have a 77 RA29GT in beautiful shape! I think you'll find your new baby easy to work on, and will reward you in rare style and with more options for modification than ANY other toyota built . Its a close call between the 1st gen celi and the ae86 corolla, but I can say for sure that I've seen well over 30 different types of engines transplanted into these cars!! Almost 20 different Toyota engines and a whole whack of others. Very maleable car 8)

There is really only 1 name you need to know for 1st gen celicas, and thats classic-celica dot com. Almost 3,000 members and counting heaps and heaps of info.
