Yeah, Id prefer just to build up my 1.6L because my engine runs real strong and theres nothing wrong with it. Im actually about to go into the process of replacing my clutch today. Where can I get some cams for this engine? Or if you know any good performance things I can do to it?

you could put a 4age head on it and make it a dohc
ive seen people put turbos on their 1.6 low boost though
get your self some nice plugs and plug wires and a new cap
a little goes a long way
el cheapo ebay intakes as well

4afe is SOHC? Didn't know that.

So does the 4age head bolt right on? I expect some modifications of something, oil nozzles perhaps, 4age timing belt, what else?

the 4afe has two cams but one is like an idler cam
im not sure what you would need to slap on that g head on their but ive seen it done before

you might as well buy a 4age and stick it in their
maybe easier and or cheaper

oh you mean it's only got 1 external cam gear, like the 5sfe. the second cam run off an internal gear. Yeah ok, Im ok with that. I wasn't ok with it being SOHC. LOL

Yeah my Engine is supposidly dual overhead cam, although theres only one external gear. If you open the oil cap you can look inside and see the other cam. Not sure exactly the purpose, but eh its cool. So... the 4AGE head... what car/engine exactly is that? I want to turbo it but dont want to buy a damn turbo kit, too expensive. Figure I can get the parts seperately over time and it should be cheaper. Not sure what turbo manifold I can get though?
