V8 In A Celica?

Anybody ever thought of putting a smallblock V8 in a celica? haha. Take some work, but I wonder if it would be possible. Just raise the back a little bit and slap a rear diff back there and get a good driveshaft. How cool it would be to slap a Ford 5.0L HO out of a mustang in there.

Maybe im just crazy, what do you guys think? haha

Just imagine how badass it would be though. To drive up in the street races with a celica sounding like a v8. People would just be like WTF??? lol Then race those gay little hondas and kill em all.

If urs is all-trac, it's gonna be sick imo .... if urs is fwd like my GT-S, I think you had better find a better wheel to do it .... fwd and big power don't go hand in hand imo...

anything is possible. I have seen civics with 454's, but everything is custom, it will take lots of time and even more money then you would even be willing to invest in the car, because when it comes to sell you will get 25% of what you put in to that car and nothing to compensate your time and agony.

there is a video floating around the net of a 5th gen with a RWD V8 conversion. It' SICK

A 5.0L ford V8 will fit with custom mounts, you'll have to make the exhaust tunnel larger to fit the drive shaft. And the rear end will need to be braced up to take the extra power and mount the rear end.

it can be done, in fact, a mechanic here offered to do mine for $6000 canadian, everything involved.

would be interesting

A V8 in a Celica would be sick... but why would you put a Ford engine in it? Afterall firends dont let friends drive Fords!

Throw in a Lexus engine, keep it in the Toyota family and then it would rock!!!
