Good friend of mine has 89 ST. Suspect bad fuel pump. I advised him earlier that fuel pump is located in tank, he pulled tank and thier is no fuel pump located in the tanks. Any ideas.

I only made one post. For whatever reason V Bullentin posted it twice. Check the times. Also I would appeciate it if you don't have the answer to the question then do the right thing and STFU.

There are two covers on the tank:
one for the gas level sender and another for the pump or pick-up tube.
Otherwice the pump is located under car under the left rear pass. seat .
It looks like cylinder 2 inches dia 6 inches long and attached to the frame rib by wide metal band.

I will pass onto him today. This 89 is semi mint ocndition it just wasn't running well. He got for a couple hunderd dollars. A real great find.
