Your best bet is to find a smashed 5th gen and take out the trans/ecu/shifter linkage/interior shifter consol .etc..

Get all the parts it will make the swap 40 times faster ..

Lots of choices dude. 4th gen GT/GTS and N/A MR2 has a taller final drive so its quicker but 5th gen will give better mileage, 6th is same as 5th for the Canadian market. Camry V6 and MR2 Turbo trannies are solid and have nice gearing, and the 94+ MR2's had LSD.

If you ever are going to do the 3s-gte swap, go ahead and use the mr2/camry 5 speed. It'll take the 200+ hp of a swapped engine.

The best thing to do is search the Camry forum for 5 speed swap. SpectraBlueCam did the auto to stick swap in his 5SFE Camry and it would be exactly the same procedure with the same parts (not sure about axles) that he used.
