UK Error 54 intercooler problem

Hi guys I have a 93 GT4 with a problem, I have an engine fault 54 indicating the intercooler, the turbo is running correctly but there is no power delivered, any hints please ?

Ok I checked the fluid levels now and they are ok but with a little air in it so I don't think that's too much of an issue, but the power thing is still there, i.e its turning as it should, it all looks ok on the dash but no power from it at all. HELP

Woah, waiting for alltracman on this one, but I don't think the ECU can tell if the inter-cooler isn't functioning properly. It sounds like you have a bad knock sensor, or maybe a vacuum line has come off leading to a lean condition causing massive knock response from the ECU.

Vacume line sounds interesting thanks for the reply. It does feel as if there is an airflow issue there. I looked round the unit and couldn't see anything. But I'll have another look in better light conditions.

thanks
