Gen5 Wastegate and blow-off

I'm about to buy a new turbocharger but it comes without a wastegate, so i'm wondering if i can install a blow-off valve onto the wastegate place and if it'll work that way. Thanks.

no it will not. each unit serves a completely different task. what type of turbo are you getting. usually if your buying a kit, an actuator or wastgate is included.

it's just a turbocharger, no kit, no wastegate, no nothing. can i then bolt on any wastegate onto it? it's probably going to be a T04S 60-1 Stage V turbocharger or something like it that is good up to 1000 hp or more. Not that i'm going to push the car that far but i want to have it as an option. so can i then bolt on 11,4 psi wastegate (2JZ-GTE turbo kit) or something like that. i know that it has a different flange than the turbo but that's not a problem, i have means to make different adaptors.

does it use an internal or external wastegate? external and if i were you if your getting a turbo that mkes up to 1000 hp i would do some research to make sure your engine will even spool that turbo. T4 turbos are awesome with larger engines. But if your going to use one on a small 4 cylinder it may not spool until right before redline.

you should be able to put any wastegate as long as the flange is right. just make sure you get one strong enough to handle the boost.
