Gear Box, and other dealer issues

Hi everyone, new to the forum-and wanted to ask your general opinions on my car issues.

I own a celica t sport, still within warranty, which has been affected with gear box problems. Selecting gears were extremely difficult, with a large degree of resistance when changing to third.
So I took the car in, and first of all they changed the gear box oil-reasonable thing to do, but didn't fix it. Gear box oil sample was shown to me and there was heavy contamination of the oil with regards to metal particles.
Car back in to the garage, 4 weeks so far! Gear box has had all synchros replaced, 5th gear replaced, gear selector linkage adjusted. The resistance has gone, but there still remains a sensation through feedback as if when going through the gate into third, something is catching/striking something before falling into gear. Toyota response was gearbox OK. This was not how the car drove before i purchased it.Apparently all options have been 'exhasted'. Very anoyed with the 4 weeks of inconvenience, to find the original problem still remains.

Any one else had similar problems?

Might be the gear shifter mechanism or a cable.
