brake lamp question

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this board, I have a question concerning my girlfriends 1989 Celica GT convertible.

There is a bit of an issue with the brake lamps. First off, only one lamp is currently working (left most taillight bulb). With driving lamps off, this is the only bulb to illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed. With the driving lamps on, the four taillight bulbs illiuminate. But, only the left most bulb gets any bright when the pedal is depressed and the other three seem to lose voltage (they get dim). The 'third' brake light (on the trunk) has a burned bulb, but I would not expect this to affect the other lamps.

I noted that all four taillight bulbs have 1157 bulbs in them (dual filament). I would guess that only two should have these bulbs, the other two should have single filament (1156, i think) bulbs in them.

Another issue, though not a pressing one, is that the rear windows (the quarter window sized ones just rear of the doors) will move down, but will only move up while the button is being pressed and someone is pulling up on the glass... and pulling hard. I would guess that the mechanism needs to be cleaned. Slow window actuators are something that I am familiar with in the world of Saab, and I need to regrease mine once every 6 months to a year to keep them moving freely. Is this something I might expect to be doing every once in a while on this Celica?

Thank you for any help / suggestions.

nevermind about the brake lamps... it was nothing more than a grounding issue. i see that all four slots take 1157, dual filament bulb
