Overheats under boost

hey guys i was out tuning my car the other day and its an 86 toyota celica gts with the 3sge turbo not the 3sgte one of the few who turbo that motor but ithink i have a headgasket going becasue only under long periods of boost does the temp rise when it rose i pulled over and cracked the rad cap and it was nothing but air so im trying to figure out where all this pressure is coming from and theo nyl thing i can think of is that under boost its heating the gasket enough to push it up and let boost creap into the cooling system

any i deas?

Thanks MAtt

its probly a simpler awnser than that if it does this only under boost, you are probly running lean or the air intake charge is much too hot... i wont stay in boost if you wana keep your motor.... because thats a bad sign.... how much psi are you running , do you have an intercooler? do you know your air / fuel ratio readings? 1 last thing try retarding your timing you might be getting denation

(if its not of those problems your fine, just take out your termostat)
for example a turbo almost always has better cooling systems
the 300zx na has a single core radiator but on the turbo model they have a duel core radiator...
to get past getting a new radiator , take out your termostat... you will probly be putting a little more pressure and strain on your water cooling system.. but not near as much as you are when your over heating in boost...

if you are leaking fluid and you have no mist coming out your exhaust... check your water pump it probly blew and is leaking water in the timing belt case , thats what happened to me
