The two sensors operate differently. Do a Google search to read up on sensor design, operation, system requirements and how they are used. The ECU is setup for one type of sensor, another type may not work or cause problems.

toyota ecus are used on multiple cars.
From what ive read alot of ecus have the ability to read from a map but that function is never used.. simply because the car was not equiped. So my goal is to go mafless.... hks made a kit for it and it goes for about 500 on ebay... iam trying to find somthing alot cheaper tho....

The ECU may be able to read the MAP but is its programmed able to react to what it is reading. How does the ECU know it is now connected to a MAP instead of a MAF. I think the signal coming out of both is just a variable voltage, but could be wrong.

There are a few books out there the go into the detail of these system and setting them up. Can you somehow get the installation instructions for the HKS system.

Cool

There's no point.
Unless you're blowing a turbo through it at very high outputs. That MAF is the least restrictive thing about your entire engine. Except maybe the valve size?
