91 gts water pump?

k i need a lil help on this purchase...im about to buy a black 91 celica gts manual, with about 140,000 miles. the guy told me it needs a new water pump, because it over heats...now he is sellin it to me for $500 dollars. does anyone know or have an estimate how much i am gonna have to spend on this water pump and if its worth buyin? interior is in good conditions and exterior has a mest up fender with a couple dents around the body.

If its not leaking coolant on the pump, its not the pump. Could be bad thermostat or rad.
Usually waterpump is done with timing belt since the same parts gotta be removed first.

I own a 91 gts with an auto and a water pump is going to cost a little becuase the pump is ran off of the timing belt. Mine has 202k miles and I still drive the poop out of it. The only problem that I have noticed with mine a 5sfe is that is hestiates off idle and parts are slighty higher since it is an "s" model. I paid 3000 for mine 3 years ago. I love it. I wished it was a manual.
