Koni or KYB?

The shocks on my 89 GT are done for, time to replace!

Ebay surprisingly has a few to pick from, I remember when I couldn't find any at all. My choices are between Koni and KYB. Anybody have experience using either of these brands, any good experiences or horror stories?

Both brands are pretty commonly used. KYB is an OEM replacement type shock where as Koni's have a hard firm ride which are more performance oriented and more suited for use with lowering springs. If it's a daily driver, then get KYBs.... if you want a sportier rider and better handling, get Koni's.

If you want to pay a bit more and have a compromise, get adjustable Konis
