91 Celica Rumble

Hey Everyone!

I just bought a 91 Celica GT, auto. My problem is at idle around 1000rpm's car shakes, more like a rumble, and when im driving past 100 on the hwy it gets loud. Could it be a pluged cat? Any sugestions would be great!

motor mount? Why do you need to go past 100? Possibliy a tranny mount.

what about the exhaust system. If jou just rev the car to the rpms (while sitting) that you are turning at 100+, does it still rumble. If it does then I would look at the exhaust system and possibly the timing. But I don't think it would be the timing.

Yeah its something to do with the rmps when its hot and under 600rmps its quite but as soon as it sees 1000+ gets a lil noisier, i think it might be the timing...
