Unhappy No power to power windows

I have a '97 GT Convertible 5-speed, which I brought in to an upholstery shop to have a new top installed. When I got it back from the shop, the power windows would no longer work; no click, no groan, no nothing. Also, the power door locks would not work off the switch, either. The locks will still work automatically when I put the car in gear, though.

So now my questions:
The Chilton's manual mentions a circuit breaker for these systems. Anyone know exactly where that is? If it's not the circuit breaker (or, for that matter, if I don't actually have one in the '97) what might be the cause? Finally, is the shop in any way responsible, or is it just an unfortunate coincidence?

Additional pieces of the puzzle: the windows/locks are the only problem, they all worked before it went in, and they're stuck in the down position.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah. No indication of any trouble. That's how the circuit breaker possibility came into play. I guess while I'm at it I should also mention that the window lockout switch was not engaged either. Thanks for your quick reply, too.

Do the door locks work and convertible top control system work? These should be on the same power source circuits. The power windows have a relay to power to the system.

Sometimes the wiring between the driver’s door and frame becomes damaged as the door is opened and closed frequently.

Door locks do not work off the switch. They do work automatically when I put it in gear (they lock) and when I shut off the car (they unlock). The convertible motor does work. I have found nothing else wrong other than the windows and the door locks.

I have posted this on several forums/boards and have e-mailed two Toyota service places, but no responses. I even called a local garage specializing in Japanese cars and he couln't give me any suggestions. I guess I'm just going to have to go to an auto electrician and have them test the whole system. Thanks for your help.

I've got it straight now. The plug had been removed from the bottom of the control panel in the driver's side door. You would think when I asked at the top place if they locked anything out that they might have mentioned that.

Thanks for the help.
