Swap help: wiring harness?
I'm swapping a 3S-GTE into my 89 GT. All was going as planned until I tried to pull the wiring harness out of the Alltrac. Holy smokes, that thing is in there deeper than anything else in the car. It took forever to remove it. Everything from the steering wheel forward, including the steering wheel, had to be pulled out.
Because it looks like the same deal in the GT, I'm wondering if anyone knows how much, if any, of the GT's wiring harness can just be cut and spliced. I asked Toyota and they said the engine harnesses are way too different to be reused outright, but I'm hoping I can play Frankenstein and cut down on time and money.
